Parent Feedback
We encourage feedback and appreciate it when parents let us know about things that are going well or that they particularly like about our school. We also always try to listen to and act upon any improvements you think we could make. We send out an annual parent questionnaire and hold focus group meetings but parents can also express their views year‐round via the Ofsted Parent View website. This can be found at: www.parentview.ofsted.gov.uk. This is monitored by school staff regularly and reviewed to evaluate the school’s performance.
You Spoke | We Listened |
Parents with children in different year groups said that they sometimes found it hard to remember the different hand-in days for their children's homework. | We reviewed and updated our homework policy. Now, across the whole school, all weekly homework is now given out on Friday and collected in on the following Wednesday. |
You would like the school to communicate more thoroughly with you about events going on and wider school life. | We have introduced ParentMail in order to communicate with you more efficiently, directly and frequently. We now send out a weekly 'what's on' newsletter every Friday, as well as Mrs Saville's half termly newsletters. |
You would like to see our school website updated and expanded. | We have worked hard reviewing our entire website and have expanded it considerably. We hope you find it useful and informative. |
You let us know that we can call on you more as volunteers. | We always welcome new parent volunteers. We now explicitly explain to all new parents how to go about doing it. |
You would like the children to have access to more extra-curricular after school activities | As well as increasing the amount of clubs our staff and parent volunteers run, we have organised some external clubs to run some exciting new activities. |
