Our Assemblies
Here at Joseph Hood Primary School we take every opportunity to discuss the meaning of VALUES and the important role they play in our lives.
Over the last year we have discussed the Rights of the Child ( UNICEF) and what that means to each and every child. We will be continuing with the values themes and we are working towards becoming a 'Rights Respecting School'.
We have also introduced the ARK books. Acts of Random Kindness. During a kindness assembly, we discussed all the different ways that we could be kind and children are encouraged to write in the ARK books if they see an Act of Random Kindness. You can look through the assembly slides for more information about this.
Within the VALUES theme, we have also taken time to reflect upon British Values.
Have a look at the presentations below to learn more about some of the things we’ve covered in our assemblies.
Class assemblies are also held throughout the year. We invite families to come to these and see what their child has been doing in school. To find the date for your child’s class assembly, please have a look in our Calendar section
